Chef Sara's Raw Vegan Cafe--a Surprisingly Wonderful Adventure

Let me preface this by saying that we have had some great raw food in the past. And we have had some AWFUL raw food. So for us, we kind of never know what we're getting into at a raw restaurant. Chef Sara's, however, was amazing. I think it was one of the best raw restaurants I've ever been to (this place in Miami was also incredible, I think it was LifeFood Courmet).

The photo is Chef Sara holding the dessert tray. We had the pecan pie and the tiramisu. Both were absolutely unbelievable. For dinner, each of the four of us got a different dish so we could try a lot. My favorite was the pizza, the ravioli was Amir's favorite, and we also got the sandwich and the quiche. The quiche was our least fave, but still good. I think I would have liked it better if I had gone with the pesto quiche instead of the butternut squash.

It's an adventure to get there--the restaurant is way up in Cave Creek. And it's an adventure on the wallet, too. The food is, well, pricey. But I have to say that it was well worth it and we will totally go here again.

Chef Sara has a big personality and came out to greet every table personally. It was such a fun experience and we look forward to our next adventure!
